Youth Summit Los Angeles 2015

Take a Stand2

Stand With Me – Youth Leadership Summit

On February 11, 2015, Los Angeles youth leaders will join California stakeholders in discussing violence prevention in schools and surrounding communities. This is an opportunity for our youth to speak up about the issues affecting their lives in and out of school, from bullying to sexual harassment to gang violence. The goals of the summit are the following:

  1. To have youth leaders (in and around the greater Los Angeles area) learn about violence prevention efforts in Los Angeles.
  2. To develop calls to action for stakeholders to move the violence prevention agenda forward in schools and communities.
  3. To create an action plan for youth leaders and stakeholders to advocate for change locally and at a state level.

The summit will be hosted by the following organizations and city entities:

– Coalition for Healthy Teen Relationships

Global Women’s Empowerment Network

–  Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation

–  LFV Consulting
